Pickups went in the mobile version recently and following that I want to take stock of what's still to do, what isn't working for people and what could be improved.
For the avoidance of doubt, this thread is talking about the website you get when you visit violetsector.com/mobile/. It is not talking about visiting the main site on your mobile.
Required ASAP Choosing a new ship - buttons don't fit on page. Android alerts - preference to receive them is not carried in to new betas.
Nice to have
Comms - ability to send and a better interface for receiving.
Vac mode settings.
Sleep tick settings.
Player rankings to detect decoys.
Don't bother with
Taunts.
Squad pages.
Other rankings.
Pilot image changing.
LC confidence / election voting.
LC panel - I think utilising VCs and logging in to the main site is sufficient.
Legion news archive.
Anything else not mentioned above.
1) Are there any objections to me removing the "text hyper" page? I think the map works now for all phones. <--- retain for the time being.
2) Are people happy with how I've characterised the above? Have I got something in the wrong category or have I omitted something?
Oh, and I had troubles with the map hyper on the mobile site the other day, but it might just be that I am still using a Droid X which is a fairly old smartphone by todays generation.
Sending comms is definitely up there for me on my clunky old phone/mobile internet!
Rankings a nice to have to figure out if you're looking at a decoy but not critical
LC stuff not overly fussed on with a 5-strong legion council
I still use text hyper as on my phone (Samsung Galaxy Ace) the navcom comes up as a list of ALL sector names one after the other in plain text, last time I checked I couldn't see how to hyper (I'll try to remember to check again when I have moves to hyper, but going there now with 0 moves the layout is still the same)
I have completed all the "required ASAP" areas. Please will people choose a ship from their phone next time they die to check the buttons now fit on their screens. If anyone would like to test this please let me know and I'll "kill" them temporarily in game.
I've also amended what still needs to be coded based on the feedback above.
